Blaqbonez whose real name is Emeka Akumefule was born on the 29th of January, 1996 to an Igbo family of Mr. and Mrs. Akumefule. He originally hails from Imo State but was widely exposed to the Yoruba and Urhobo culture as a result of where he resided while growing up.
Blaqbonez was about 13 when he discovered his love for rap music and immediately took an interest. There isn’t much information on the schools which he attended for his primary and secondary education. However, he studied and graduated with a degree in Computer Engineering from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU).

Blaqbonez grew a strong interest in making music at a young age and started having the idea of becoming an artist. Influenced by rap songs, he got a lot of support from his parents and worked to achieve his dreams.
Blaqbonez started as a text battler before eventually deciding to begin the recording of his songs. He achieved fame when he won the Terry Tha Rapman’s Zombie Competition in 2012.
This competition gifted Blaqbonez the privilege of featuring on Terry’s 2012 mixtape titled “World Domination” with other top Nigerian artists like Olamide, Mode 9, Spellz, and Vector.
After 5 years, he featured Terry in one of his projects and emerged as the first runner-up in Vector’s King Kong Competition. Blaqbonez has over 8 Eps and a mixtape together with diverse singles.
