We collect personal data with the full permission of our viewers. The Nation collects data when readers leave comments on the box provided.

Comments are feedback and opinions of a reader or visitor on a topic. We collect IP addresses, email, and Names.

Upon leaving comments, an administrator reviews the comment before approval. Racist contents, spam, links from other sources not related to the content, and others related may not be approved.

Media.

Visitors are welcomed to upload pictures to this site but images with embedded location data including EXIF GPS are not allowed. Videos and images on this site can be downloaded with due credit.

Cookies.

After dropping a comment on our site, readers could opt-in to saving your name and email address. 

The option makes it convenient for you so you wouldn’t have to fill the form the next time you leave a comment. A box at the lower end of the form could be checked to fulfill the request.

The information remains on your browser until you leave a comment, the information lasts for a year.

Content from other websites.

Our content may include embedded content from other sites. We many collect videos, pictures, articles, etc. The Nation gives credit to the site from which these contents were sourced.

Embedded content from other sources online behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

Your data may be collected from these other websites, monitor your interaction with the embedded site.

Data Duration.

If you have left a comment, the comment and its metadata remain on our site indefinitely. We leave these comments so other readers could see other’s opinions on the topic and follow up.

Registered users on our website have the personal data provided in their user profile.

All users can access their profile anytime to edit or delete the already provided information at any time, their username cannot be changed.

However, Administrators can access these profiles and can edit the provided information.

Readers right.

Visitors who have registered an account on The Nation can request to receive an exported file of their personal information including any data you provided.

They can also request that their data on our site be erased. However, will retain any information we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, and/or security purposes.
