Early Life

The 38-year-old businessman Bahle Zondo was born in rural uMsinga, a rural area in KwaZulu-Natal. He had a poor childhood experience but has made a name for himself through hard work and determination. 

Education

Bahle Zondo dropped out of school in Grade 11. He moved to Johannesburg in search of jobs. He got a job in a factory and returned to school.

Zondo saved up and enrolled at Midrand’s Grand Central Airport for training. He holds a student pilot license, a private pilot license, and a commercial pilot license.

Zondo started to work in an insurance company after matriculating. He met a guy that insures aircraft, and this connection changed everything.

After the man and Zondo went to test an airplane, after he saw the man operating the flying vehicle, he knew that was what he wanted. Zondo also worked for British Airways in Amsterdam.

Today, he owns and flies four helicopters. One of his helicopters works in Sudan and helps to track stolen vehicles. People having functions such as weddings also hire him.

Bahle is the president of Amahle Benefits Scheme, a top funeral insurance scheme in South Africa. He is also the chairman of the Bahle Zondo Foundation, a community development organization he founded.

Personal Life

Bahle Zondo and Nomfundo Mcoyi tied the knot in an extravagant wedding in Bali, Indonesia. The couple hosted 120 of their friends and family at their lavish wedding ceremony and reception on the Indonesian island.

They exchanged their vows at The Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel with an all-white wedding theme. Zondo lives in Johannesburg and owns four helicopters. He enjoys to with his mother, Zwakele Ziqubu.
