Hlengiwe Mhlaba (born 7 June 1973 in KwaZulu-Natal) is an award-winning South African gospel artist. She has dropped several hit songs since she entered the music scene.
The first song she released was titled Dwala Lami, the song made waves in the music scene and reached platinum status.
She has also dropped other hit songs like Hlengiwe Mhlaba Sthandwa Sami and Hlengiwe Mhlaba Sewakhile.
The renowned singer came to live the life of Christ during her early childhood days. She attended several popular crusades in KwaZulu-Natal and Swaziland.

Hlengiwe Mhlaba was born in KwaZulu-Natal on 7 June 1973. Before becoming a gospel artist as we know her, she was a teacher.
She decided to try out a profession in music after connecting with Makhabane.
The artist and producer were of great help to her in singing for Amanxusa Music Production (Big Fish Music).
In 2005, she dropped her debut album titled Dwala Lami. The music was welcomed by listeners of gospel music.
The feedback from the album was encouraging and decided to try out another way of making her music.
Trying out Jazz recorded her a huge success and gained her more support.
In 2006, his second album followed and she titled it Jesu Uyalalela. Another album was released in 2007 titled Blessings (izibusiso) and the Live @ Durban Playhouse DVD in 2008.
She has also held performances at Pretoria State Theatre and the Durban City Hall. She has drawn collaborative attention and has worked with big names in the industry including late Vuyo Mokoena.
She has also worked with other popular personalities including Ntokozo Mbambo and the musical group Joyous Celebration.
The impact she has done on the music scene has also been recognized. To mention a few, she collaborated with several record labels and smiled home with awards.

According to the renowned media personality, “she has never being with a man”.

At the moment she is not ready to be with any man she rather focuses on fame and money.
Though she says that she is yet to meet the right man moreover she is busy at the moment.
One thing talent does is to bless those possessing them with pronounced recognitions.
The case is not different for Hlengiwe Mhlaba. Since her years doing music, she has taken home several awards and has been recognized by award sponsors.
At the 2nd Crown Gospel Awards, Hlengiwe Mhlaba received Best Classic of all time for Dwala Lami, her song.
At the 14th South African Music Awards, she smiled home with the Best Contemporary Gospel.
She received another recognition at the First Crown Gospel Awards for Best Traditional Gospel.
