Early Life

Clement Manyathela was born on August 10, 1990, and hails from Vaalbank in Mpumalanga. Growing up in the village was fun for the presenter, who joined others children to play mantloane, hide and seek, etc. The presenter relocated to Pretoria for his studies in 2010.


In 2013, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Pretoria. Since graduation, he has established a name for himself in the entertainment industry


Manyathela spent nine years gaining experience as a reporter focusing on reporting on politics. He was an intern at Pretoria News and SABC online when he heard of the launch of Power FM.

A manager at the SABC advised him to try applying. He sat for interviews, and the station hired him after its launch. He worked as a junior producer in the newsroom.

Eventually, he got promoted to field reporting. He tried his shot for the television but went back to radio and joined Eyewitness News. He stood in for Stephen Grootes on the Midday Report.

His performance as the show host earned him his show, The Clement Manyathela. He landed a gig at SABC news online and worked for Eyewitness News. He interviewed prominent politicians and leaders in South Africa.

On television, he has held highly profiled interviews, such as the inauguration of President Cyril Ramaphosa. He covered the 2018 Zimbabwean elections and also the funeral of the late Robert Mugabe.

Clement is a radio presenter at 702 and a news anchor for Enca television station. He started to host at the Johannesburg-based commercial FM radio station Radio 702 in May.


Clement Manyathela is also a podcaster, and his podcasts are available on Apple iTunes and the Radio 702 website. He discusses several topics which are relatable to daily issues.

On September 17, 2022, Clement Manyathela posted a picture of him and a beautiful woman at the Zebula Golf Estate and Spa, and we can boldly say that love lives there.

Unfortunately, he was involved in a car accident in October 2020.
