Melusi Yeni (born October 22, 1977) is a South African singer and actor. He is a familiar face on television and is best known for appearing in many drama series and soap operas.
One of his prominent roles is Bheki Shabalala in the SABC1 drama series Tshisa, from 2006 to 2009. He made a guest appearance in the first two episodes in 2012.
Yeni has also appeared in other television series like Home Affairs, Generations, Tshisa, and Isifiso. Many viewers know him for playing Phenyo, a hunky and successful businessman, on Generations. He left the soap opera to join Imbewu in 2013, yet many called him Phenyo even offscreen.

Early Life
Melusi Yeni was born on October 22, 1977, in KwaMashu, north of Durban, South Africa. He performed with the Natal Youth Choir.
In 2006, he moved from his home in KwaMashu to the city of Johannesburg in search of greener pasture in showbiz.
Career
Melusi Yeni played the starring role of Isaac Tladi in the M-Net soap opera The Wild from 2011 to 2012. Later in February 2012, he appeared in the soap opera Generations.
In December 2013, his role Phenyo Mazibuko was written out from the show.
Since 2006, he has appeared in many television shows like the SABC3 soap opera Isidingo. He has also appeared in the SABC2 soap opera Muvhango and the SABC1 drama series Home Affairs and Mtunzini.com.
After a short hiatus from the small screen, he returned, playing a businessman Sibonelo in the Mzansi Magic drama, Isifiso. He also appeared as Andile on KwaZulu Natal medical show Durban Gen.
As a cast member of Mtunzini.com, he played Zam, a cocky farmhand murder suspect. He appeared in season three, episode one. He also played a lawyer Mabutho Sokhulu in the SABC1 drama series Sokhulu & Partners from 2008 to 2016.
In 2011, the actor played the role of Mthunzi in the SABC1 mini-series Shreds & Dreams. In the E.tv soap opera Rhythm City, he played Thabiso appearing first in early 2016.
In 2019, Yeni appeared first in Imbewu: The Seed playing the role of a Financial Forensic Investigator called Dlamini. He made his debut in season one, episode two hundred, broadcast on Friday, January 18, 2019.
