Zamajobe Sithole is a 37-year-old South African singer and songwriter. She is best known for being a contestant on season two of the M-Net reality competition Idols.
The singer displayed a mind-blowing performance on the show and finished as a Top 10 contestant. In 2004, she launched a solo career with the release of the album Ndawo Yami.

Early Life
Zamajobe Sithole was born in Frankfort in Free State, South Africa. The sensational singer grew up in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg. She fell in love with music at a very young age.
Her family supported her musical interest, while her mother loves gospel music, which influenced her to sing gospel songs. Her father loved various forms of music and grew up listening to several genres – jazz and funk.
Grooming her musical talent
Zamajobe grew up loving music and disturbed her father to get her a guitar. She started to compose and write materials after her father bought her a guitar.
Since then, she has continued to compose music, and the urge has been astronomical. Eventually, her love for music grew deeper after some gifted artists influenced her.
For Sithole, the gifted gospel musician Pastor Benjamin Dube is her first music mentor. After a display of talent, people around her, including her pastor, began to notice.
Pastor Dube, her church pastor, asked her to join the choir. At nine years old, Zamajobe started to sing occasionally in a church choir. She looked up to renowned and gifted personalities in the industry.
Among others, the talented artist looked up to artists like Sabelo Gxoyiya, Eric Clapton, Letta Mbulu, and Abigael Khubeka.
With trust in her talents, Zamajobe entered season two of the reality competition M-Net reality competition Idols in 2003.
Many have not forgotten her performance on the show, which earned her a spot among the top 10 contestants. It opened her an opportunity to work with BMG Demo Studios.
Music Career
With the wave and energy that came with her performance on the talent show, she burst into the music scene. The Jazzworx team approached her with a recording deal, and she accepted.
Sithole and the producer Eric Pilani collaborated on her first album Ndawo Yami in 2004. The song was a massive success.
Some of her songs, Magic and Ndawo Yami became an anthem among music lovers. She continued to please music lovers with good music and regular hits.
Before releasing another album, she dropped four hit singles. She landed several ambassadorial deals and represented South Africa in Lisbon and Portugal. She represented South Africa at the 2005 MTV Europe Music Awards.
Zamajobe dropped her second album Ndoni Yamanzi in 2008. She dropped Trailblazer on the TMP record in 2012 and released a 12-tracked album titled Thula Mntwana. After a long break, she returned with a single Sobabili in 2017.
Since 2013, she paused recording music but earned royalties from her songs, which still played on the radio. She also landed gigs that contributed to sustaining her.

Zamajobe was a nominee for the Best Female Artist at the 13th Metro FM Music Award in 2014.
The sponsors announced the nominees at the Turbine Hall in Newtown, Johannesburg. She won the Best Newcomer award at the 2005 SAMA.
