Rolanda Marais (born January 19, 1978) is a 45-year-old actress. She has portrayed an exceptional talent in many television series she has appeared in.
The actress is best known for starring as Stefanie Louw-Malherbe in the soap opera Binneland from season one to eight. She has also appeared in many other television series like Bloedbroers as Ingrid, Charlie Jade as Blues Paddock, and Die Byl as Carien van der Bijl.
Marais landed many stage roles like Two Gentlemen of Verona in 2003, Die Seemeeu in 2015, and Waterfront.

Early Life
Rolanda Marais was born on January 19, 1978, and lived in Johannesburg, the provincial capital of Gauteng. At age twelve, she relocated with her parents to the Boland town of Wellington.
There she attended school and had her matriculation before moving to Cape Town to further her studies.
Education
Marais went to the University of Cape Town for an Afrikaans-Dutch degree and studied drama. She graduated with a Performer’s Diploma in Speech and Drama.
Career
While in her final year, the actress started to act and appear in several productions. She made her television debut in season one of the thriller mini-series Lied van die Lappop.
After the appearance, many more acting opportunities came – on screen and stage. Many films, theatre productions, and television series featured her.
The actress has landed starring roles in many advertisements which she used for paying for her travels outside South Africa. She was a freelancer for seven years but tried out full-time in Binnelanders.
Rolanda has done several plays and worked with one of her favorite directors – Marthinus Basson. She collects furniture and decorative pieces from the 70s and also collects works from local artists.
The actress appeared in many series like the 2005 science fiction show Charlie Jade. She landed a role in the SABC2 police procedural Zero Tolerance appearing in seasons one and two as Hannalie de Kock.
The actress appeared in season two of the SABC1 drama series Intersexions, in 2013. She played the starring role of David’s estranged wife Analine King in the SABC3 drama series High Rollers.
Roland played Christelle in seasons two and three of the KyKNet Drama series Fynskrif.

Apart from local television series, the actress has appeared in many films. She has appeared in the 2012 film Wolwedans in die Skemer, the 2019 film Poppie Nongena, and Trackers 2019. She also appeared in a film directed by her husband Griekwastad.
