Watch Live: President Ramaphosa leads call for National Day of Prayer

The president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, will be leading the call for a National Day of Prayer. The prayer will be made through a broadcast on Television on Tuesday 26 May 2020.

The presidential address is expected to go live at 19h30. The presidency made it known that updates on provisions for the religious sector after a meeting of the National Coronavirus Command Council should be expected during the presidential address.

Following the ongoing lockdown regulations places of religious worship were also affected as they remained closed.

The broadcast will go live on television, radio and can be streamed live on a range of online platforms.
