The South African generally and much demanded wedding planner and event designer, Precious The Planner has been labeled a scam.
The planner who has organized several celebrity weddings and other celebrations including birthdays, has been accused of being a scam.
Following a thread by Twitter, user @queen-reigh pulled out some receipts on how her mother fell victim to a scam by the planner.
The event planner allegedly scammer the users after her mother paid R75,000 for her birthday celebration.
The celebration was scheduled to hold on the 30th of May. According to @queen-reigh, following the contacting precious to render her services for her birthday celebration.
She charged them R229,440 and sent it via a quotation.
Her mother allegedly paid the planner R100,000 as that’s an agreement for her services. This was because she did not want to get involved in any delay in payments.
Following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the birthday celebration was canceled.
Upon informing Precious said she will charge a 75% cancellation fee. This triggered reactions from other twitter users.
The family lawyer allegedly contacted her and she refunded 25% and said it was “out of goodwill”. The reason for the already began the planning process for the birthday celebration.
The planner is happy to use the already paid amount for any future celebrations they might have.
Twitter users voiced out using #preciousthecammer and are trending on the platform. Many are demanding the event planner is to repay the money.
