Imbewu new cast members and actors have added a special spice to the e.tv drama series. Many talents like Leleti Khumalo, Thembi Mtshali-Jones, and Sandile Dlamini, among others are extending the fan base of the show.

No doubt, many viewers in South Africa have the television serial as their favorite. It earned viewership through drama and suspense which leaves fans with a topic to discuss on what would happen in the next episodes.

The producers of the show did exceptional work in selecting the actors during auditions. New actors also join the show in new seasons while some made guest appearances in episodes.

The show tries to touch different corners of evert day lives which makes it easier for viewers to relate. It stresses the difference in class between those living in wealth and others who struggle meet their basic needs.

Plot

Imbewu cast
The South African soap opera Imbewu was known in its first two seasons (1 and 2) as Imbewu: The Seed.

Business mogul Ngcolosi, his wife Mazulu, and his children live in Durban. The couple is proud parents of Nganono, Zithulele, Zakhiti, and Buhle.

Ngcolosi’s brother Phakade is a pastor who resides in south Durban. He lives with his wife KaMadonsela and his two children – Ntombifuthi and Nokhukhanya.

MaNdlovu is a powerful figure in the Bhengu family and would cross the line to keep her family together.

Together with his friend Pranav Rampersad, a powerful figure in the Rampersad family, Zimele built his company, Maluju Oil.

Pranav is a husband to Nirupa and a father of two – Shria and Mira Rampersad. A twenty-year-old secret poses a threat in breaking the Bhengu family forever.

Two friends, Ngcolosi and Pranav die later and Nkululeko takes over the reins. Mazulu has a man in her life and Phakade wanted her to be his wife.

Thokozile and her son Nkululeko arrives. Nkululeko worked with Ngcolosi (Tony Kgoroge) without the knowledge that he is his father.

Stealing Maluju oil from the Bhengus becomes the plan Shria and Nirupa want to execute. Mepho Nkululeko’s son is nowhere to be found.

Duma Ndlovu is the creator of the South African soap opera with Anant Singh and Leleti Khumalo as the executive producers.

The e.tv original is produced by Grapevine Productions and e.tv was responsible for the commissioning and distribution.

However, the show moved to eVOD on 5 August 2021 with repeats being aired on the channel.
