Education
Vincent Magwenya holds a National Diploma in Video Technology, Communications, and Broadcasting from the Durban University of Technology.
Career
Mr. Magwenya founded the Johannesburg-based reputation management and digital marketing consultancy Conversations Media and Communications.
Under the leadership of former president Jacob Zuma, Vincent was also a spokesperson. He resigned in July 2010 after reportedly falling victim to infighting with the President’s office.
For three years, from 2013 to 2016, Magwenya was the Chief Executive Officer of the PR agency Magna Carta. After leaving the agency, Mr. Vincent started Conversations Media and Communications.
Mr. Magwenya is a former Director of Communications for Standard Bank Africa. He has also served as Director of Group Stakeholder Relations Management for Standard Bank Group.
At the early stage of his career, Vincent was a broadcast journalist in various technical and editorial roles.

The acting spokesperson Tyrone Seale handed power over to Magwenya on July 1, 2022. Seale has been in the position since July 2020 after ormer spokesperson Khusela Diko took a leave of absence.
