Kelvin Momo (born in 1994) is a South African performer, Disk Jockey, producer, and songwriter. He has dropped and featured in many amapiano hits. He is well known for the private school amapiano, a fusion of jazz, deep house, and lounge.

The DJ has released many singles and albums, which houses many tracks, that is now an anthem. He is a force to be reckoned with in the music space.

Kelvin Momo was born Thato Kelvin Ledwaba in 1994 in Diepkloof, Soweto, Johannesburg, Gauteng.

The DJ featured C.A Souls in his 2019 single Abantu Bethu. He also dropped Yelele feat. Luu Nineleven and DJ Stoks. He was featured on the ninth edition of the influential label House Afrika’s Mzansi House compilation. 

In 2020, he dropped his first album, Momo’s Private School, under amapiano pioneer Kabza De Small’s label Piano Hub. 

Kelvin has collaborated with a vocalist and producer, Babalwa M. They worked on the EP Bayeke in 2020. The duo also collaborated on an amapiano hit, Linga, in 2022. 

Personal Life

In October 2019, Kelvin Momo confirmed that he was dating a fellow Disk Jockey, Precious DJ. They worked together on many projects like Buya.

However, in early 2020, the couple’s relationship vibes began to fade, and they did not work on any project.

Kelvin Momo started to date a new partner Babalwa M. They have worked on several hit songs and recently dropped Linga in 2022.
