Biography
Johan Scholtz is a South African singer and actor. He is best known for playing Osie Oosthuizen in the kykNET soap opera Binnelanders.
The veteran actor played the rugby referee Schalk Brand in the kykNET television series Getroud Met Rugby. He has appeared in other shows such as Hartland, Roer Jou Voete, and Swartwater.

Education
Johan Scholtz studied for a BA in Drama at the University of Pretoria. While he rounded up his third year, PACT appointed him as a professional actor.
Career
In 2011, Scholtz bagged the role of Rudi Naude in the kykNET drama series Hartland. In the late seventies and eighties, he was a paratrooper and instructor.
Johan took the bold step of becoming a Member of PACT’s opera department in 1984. He made his debut as William Beyers in Agter Elke Man.
After which, Scholtz appeared in TV series like Vleuels, Arende, and Grondbaronne. He returned to South Africa after some years of missionary work in 1995 and bagged a role in Egoli.
Johan took a seven-year break from the entertainment industry, during which he served as a pastor.
Personal Life
Johan Scholtz is married to Lulu Scholtz, and they have two wonderful children.
