Zinzile Zungu (born 14 January 1983 in Durban) is a South African presenter, actress, and voice artist. She rose to prominence for being the continuity presenter on SABC3.
In July 2007, she became a “face of the channel” following the re-launching of a new brand image. She has appeared on several television roles and serials.

She was born on 14 January 1983 in Durban, South Africa. Her place of birth, Durban, is where her TV profession began. Kicking off her profession, she was a regional presenter for Craze.
Zinzile appeared on the e.tv children’s show when she was a teenager (16 years old).
She also appeared in corporate videos and did voiceovers for Craze and extended to other radio stations in Durban.
Education
To continue her academic pursuit and gain wider experience Zinzile relocated to Johannesburg. She enrolled at the South African School of Motion Picture and Live Performance.
There she appeared in several performances in theatre shows. At the Civic Theatre in Johannesburg, she appeared in Pata Pata.
She also appeared in Le Shebeen, a musical directed by Deon Opperman.
Zungu also attended The African Film and Drama Academy and holds a BA in Dramatic Arts as well as PR Management.
Career
She is also popular for playing Nomzamo, the title role, in the SABC1 sitcom. She appeared in season one but Ayanda Ngubane replaced her from season two.
Zungu made her debut on TV in the movie Tramlines. Following was her first big role in Nomzamo, a SAFTA award-winning sitcom.
In the first season of the SABC3 soap opera Isidingo, she was cast as Bongi. She has also landed many Mc gigs including at the South Africa Fashion Week. Zinzile Mc’d the launch of the SABC3 drama series The Lab.
More on her Mc credits include Durban July’s best-dressed competition and the J&B Met. As an ambassador, she represented the Phenomenal Woman campaign and tour.
She owns the company Star Quality, which has its primary objective as artist management. She joined Scandal!, an e.tv soap opera, in 2010 and was cast as Thokozile.
