Zethu Dlomo (born 31 March 1989 in Lenasia) is a popular figure in the South African entertainment industry.

Portraying the role as Madi in Black Sails, an American TV serial walked her into the limelight.

The South African actress is fluent in two languages including Zulu and English.

Her place of residence is in the city of Johannesburg. She has entertained the country and the world with her mind-blowing acting talent.

Background

The popular actress was born in Lenasia, Gauteng on 31 March 1989. She grew up in Mmesi Park located in Dobsonville, Soweto.

Education

Zethu first attended The National School of the Arts for her academic pursuit.

Later in 2010, she completed her studies with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Dramatic Art at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits University).

Career

Zethu Dlomo is an actress and presenter. The Lenesia-born gained popularity for playing the role of Alice Kunene in Room 9.

She appeared on the SABC1 science-fiction television series for a year (2012-2013).

She has also graced the screen playing many other roles. She was cast as Baone Magazine in The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency in 2009, a TV drama series.

In 2012, Zethu landed the role of Dinky in the film Fanie Fourie’s Lobola.

Appearing on the drama series Justice for All further gained her popularity. She was also a presenter behind an education program on SABC2.

She has also appeared in some theatre productions. Zethu appeared in productions directed by James Ngcobo including The Hill and You Fool and How Can the Sky Fall?

Another notable appearance was on the production directed by Leila Henriques – Yerm. She appeared in another directed by Sarah Matchett titled Anowa.

Husband

Zethu is married to her longtime partner Lebogang Mphahlele. Her husband is also an actor known for Durban Poison (2013). The couple exchanged their marital vows in September 2018.
