Thobani Nzuza (born 04 May 1993 in Umlazi township in KwaZulu-Natal) is a South African playwright and actor. He is also a director, vocalist and African dancer.
He is popular for playing a starring role as Mdeni in eHostela, an Mzansi Magic drama series.

He studied in a community arts center under Buhle ‘Bo’ Mlazi. Thobani matriculated from King Shaka High School in Durban in 2011.
The next year upon graduating, he enrolled and studied drama at the Durban University of Technology.

His debut professional production was Silencing the Hurricanes by Themi Venturas. It was performed in Bangkok in the year 2014.
He’s the writer and director of Shintsha Guluva for the Isigcawu Festival in 2014. Thobani took home the Best Director award.
Thobani performed in the Secret Valley of the Great Kings (2015), a Menzi Mkhwane play. He received a nomination for Best Supporting Actor at the Durban Mercury Theatre Awards.
He had a collaboration with Kagiso Tsimakwane in writing Boy Ntulikazi, his first one-man show. Thobani directed, performed and later published the show.
Thobani represented African students in a Shakespeare festival in Germany (Folkwang Universität der Künste), in Much Ado About Nothing, directed by Debbie Lutge.
He also played his debut starring role in eHostela, a Mzansi Magic drama series in 2018.
The show was about two (2) brothers who run a powerful and secret organisation in a worker’s hostel with their father. The series premiered on the 6th of January 2019.
In 2019, Thobani landed another starring role on TV in Isipho, an e.tv supernatural telenovela Isipho. It premiered on the 1st of July, 2019.
