Thembi Seete (born 25th March 1977 in Soweto, Gauteng)is a musician, actress and TV presenter. She was a member of the Kwaito Super group Boom Shaka.
Her date of birth is on 25th March 1977 and the place of birth is in Soweto, Gauteng. She is 41 years old.
Thembi announced that she had given birth to her first child. Although she hasn’t shared any images of her son, Dakalo.
On one of her Mother’s Day, she wrote on Instagram: “I’m still in awe that God trusted me to carry & take care of his masterpiece.”
“I’m talking about something that doesn’t even have a price tag, priceless. That one thing where people say you can’t describe the love now you understand what does it mean.
“When they say one day, it doesn’t matter how old you are, but you will find your purpose, why you’re waking up every morning, why you’re going out there.” She said in an interview with Thabiso ‘Tbose’ Mokwele on Kaya FM.
Thembi joined a Kwaito Supergroup Boom Shaka in 1994 until 2000 when the group broke. She started a solo career in music after the group broke.
She kicked off her acting career in the Hard-hitting SABC 1 drama series Yizo Yizo and was featured in a film- Hijack Stories in 2000.
Thembi portrayed as Lerato in Gaz’lam, season 1&2, the SABC 1 drama series (2002 – 2004).
She appeared in the show’s third season premiere, entitled “Ghosts of the Past”, as a guest. The show aired which aired on 18th February 2005.
She acted as Pumla in the movie, Crossing the Line in 2005 and landed the leading role of Nina Moloi in the SABC1 soccer drama series Zone 14 in 2006.
Still, in 2006, she starred as Lily in an episode of the SABC1 drama series Mtunzini.com. The episode was titled “Lily” – Season 1, Episode 3.
She was among the seven (7) choirmasters for Clash of the Choirs South Africa in 2013.
She portrayed as Bongi, a drug addict former superstar, in e.tv soapie Rhythm City in 2015.
She was a presenter at Jika Majika, an SABC1 music dance show for the first 10 seasons.
Thembi was the host at Nguwe Na, Mzansi Magic/Mzansi Wethu reality show Nguwe Na? in 2013. In the show, singles compete for a chance to win a date. In 2014, she hosted the second season also.
At the 6th annual Crown Gospel Music Awards, Thembi was a guest presenter. The show aired live for the first time on SABC2 on 17 November 2013.
She is engaged to Pendry ‘Bobo’ Seritsane, Denim Vocalist. He proposed to her in 2012 but the couple has not married since then.
Thembi said that she is behind the marriage delay.
“I delayed setting a wedding date because I’ve realised that marriage isn’t about the wedding ceremony or a ring on my finger, it’s about the connection you build with your partner,” she revealed to True Love magazine
“It was obviously awkward at first to have the conversation with Bo… that I didn’t want to get married too soon after getting engaged.
Although the couple is reportedly separated and in October 2017, she confirmed she was single and dating.
