Terry Pheto (born Moitheri Pheto; 11 May 1981 in Mahikeng) is a South African businessperson and actress. She rose to prominence for playing Miriam in the feature film Tsotsi.
She grew more popular in 2008 after becoming the new face of L’Oréal S.A. The today celebrated actress started in the streets of Soweto.
In the beginning, she was able to work with theatre groups located within the country. She has managed to break the limit and appear in productions featuring other stars.

She was born on 11 May 1981 in Mahikeng, the capital city of the North West province of South Africa. She lived in Soweto with her family until she was twenty-one.
Moonyeenn Lee, a casting agent in a theatre group, spotted her during the casting process for Tsotsi.
Career
She has appeared in many films including Catch a Fire and Sekalli le Meokgo in 2006, Goodbye Bafana in 2007, and Mafrika in 2008.
Terry also landed several roles on television screens including the SABC1 drama series Justice for All as Lerato.
She was cast as Pinky Khumba in the South African television drama series Zone 14. In the SABC2 broadcast South African television drama series Jacob’s Cross, she was cast as Mbali.
Terry has also landed roles in several theatre productions including The Toilet and The Devil’s Protest.

She dated DJ Sbu and their relationship lasted for a year (2009-2010). News24 reported that Terry Pheto and her fiancé IT mogul, Masande Peter, would get married in December 2019.
