Supra Mahumapelo (born Supra Obakeng Ramoeletsi Mahumapelo; 7 June 1964 in Mahumapelo) is a South African politician.
He was the Provincial Secretary of the African National Congress North West Provincial Leadership (2011-2018).
He is also the former Speaker of the North West Provincial Legislature. Supra was also a member of the North West Provincial Legislature and Premier of North West.
His date of birth is on 7 June 1964 and his place of birth is in Manamolelo outside Delareyville. Supra Mahumapelo is 55 years old (2019).
He was born into the family of Steve Mahumapelo, was an entrepreneur in Saulspoort near Rustenburg and Agnes Bereng, a domestic worker who worked in Klerksdorp.
The name of Supra Mahumapelo’s wife is Kule Mahumapelo. Kule owns a foundation that is into partnership with the South African Social Security Agency and other stakeholders.
He began his academic career at Marotse Primary School. He later completed at Tlotlego Middle School in the Atamelang township.
He later attended Phatshima High School in Atamelang for his high school education. Supra matriculated at Kgamanyane High School in Moruleng.
Following his matriculation, he obtained a National Diploma in Commercial Practice (NDCom) at the former Transvaal Northern Technikon.
He graduated from the University of South Africa where he obtained a Certificate in Public Finance and Economics.
He later obtained a master’s degree in Political Economy at the former University of Port Elizabeth
He had the duty of recruiting people into the ANC in 1968. The duty was assigned to him by Cde Ndleleni Duma in the Moruleng area.
Supra became the ANC Provincial Deputy Elections Co-ordinator in Klerksdorp in 1994.
The next year, 1995, Supra became the Chairperson to Mmabatho ANC Branch. The position he attained for winning the election.
Later in 1998, he won another election as the Provincial Chairperson of the ANCYL in NW.
He served as an additional member of the ANC PEC in NW in 2002. He became the ANC Provincial Secretary in 2005.
