Mojalefa Thebe is a Soweto born musician, songwriter, music producer, and sound engineer. The record label owner is also addressed as Mjakes or Mjojo by many.

He matriculated at George Khosa Secondary School. After matric, he studied Electrical Engineering at Wits Tech.
During his studies, he tried music. He joined Frenz, a music group, and recorded their first album with Gallo Records.
He has worked with many renowned artists in the music industry. Mojalefa has worked with the likes of Lloyd Cele, Nomthi Sishi, Lulama Goba, Puleng, Andiswa, and others.
His career dates back to the late ’90s. He has worked with Robbie Malinga to produce projects.
Some of their works worth mentioning include the Multi-platinum selling albums ‘Loliwe’ and ‘Phendula’ by Zahara.
Also, the “SAMA award-winning best new artist and Metro FM best female Naima-Kay whose first album reached Gold”.
He also produced many Kwaito artists including Sbu Malawyer (AmaLawyer and Monate feela).
Mojalefa joined the Redeemed, a gospel group. They released the Redeemed’s spirited first album, ‘REDEEMED Live in Soweto’
The group’s album won a METRO award in 2006 for BEST URBAN GOSPEL. As a group, Redeemed also won a 2007 SAMA award for the BEST URBAN GOSPEL.
They dropped another, the second, album titled, God Is Able, through Universal Music. They won the Crown Gospel award for best Urban Gospel Album.
Mojalefa collaborated with TS records in 2003 to produce songs for Mzekezeke and Brown Dash, Izinyoka, Ntando, Nhlanhla Nciza’s inguquko and many more.
He has also collaborated with international artists like Chevelle Franklin.
He also remixed songs and featured well known international gospel artists like Israel Houghton in some of them.
Lately, he has worked on Gospel alive, a great Gospel concept, as the Music director and Music Producer.
In 2015, he rebranded and launched his record label called Nu Sound Factory. He signed new artists like Tabia, Choppa Margarida, and also partnered with Real Music to release the group ‘Smile’.
