Miss Pru DJ (born Prudence Sebalo in 1985) is a female South African Disk Jockey. She is making waves in the male-dominated profession with her exceptional skills.

She owes her success to her determination, planning, and dreams. When she is not deejaying, she also does other professions including singing and songwriting.

She is the voice behind the hit song Phumelela Miss Pru and is a lady of many talents and proves that “what a man can do, a woman can do so”.

She was born in Vaal Triangle, South Africa in 1985. The singer was raised in the triangular area formed by Vereeniging, Vanderbijlpark, and Sasolburg.

After her birth, her parents named her Prudence Sebalo. Like many other artists, she adopted the nickname Miss Pru DJ to be her stage name.

Her love for the arts could be traced back to her days in school. Miss Pru was a performer in drama and dance events. After she fell in love with DJing which overwhelmed other branches in arts.

She ran an academic program in radio at On Cue Communications. To gain more knowledge in the Deejay field, Miss Pru qualified as a deejay at Fuse Academy.


She has worked for TransAfrica radio station as a radio presenter. This role was her debut and open more opportunities in the media for her. 

She has also worked on several other radio stations including Cliff Central, Touch HD, Radio Rhythm. Sebalo is signed to the record label Ambitiouz Entertainment.

She has held performances within and outside the boundaries of South Africa. Miss Pru has visited other countries to hold performances.

She was present at the Winter Music Conference, Miami, the United States. She has also performed in other countries within the African Continent.

Sebalo has entertained music lovers in South Africa and impressed award sponsors. She boasts as the first female Disk Jockey to smile home with a SA Music Award.

She received the award at the 23rd Annual South Africa Music Award for the Best music video category. Adding to the list of awards she has won include;
