Early Life

Mary Anne Barlow was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, on 21 November 1974. She stayed in Zimbabwe for a while before relocating to South Africa with her parents.

She enrolled in a diploma program and after her academic pursuit, She had her graduation in 1997. She studied Dramatic Art.

Career

She is the actress behind the role of the super-bitch Coreen Edwards in Egoli (1997-2003).

Gaining her international recognition is a starring role in Wild at Heart. She was cast as Vanessa in the British television drama series.

She has also held a performance in several theatre shows. Her theatre credits include Eskorts (1997) and The Vagina Monologue Excerpts (2003).

Barlow was cast in a lead role on Shado’s, an SABC3 drama, in 2006. She has also landed in supporting roles in films including Last Rites of Passage and Cape of Good Hope.

In 2004, she played the lead role in the film Roxi. In the following year, she was cast in another lead role in Gray Hofmeyr’s movie Mama Jack, with Leon Schuste.

In season 4 of the drama series Jacob Cross, Barlow played the role of Dr. Sam Jones.
