Mampho Brescia was born on 8 December 1977 in the township of Soweto in Johannesburg, South Africa. She and her siblings were raised by her parents.

She attended reputable Primary and Secondary schools in South Africa. Mampho then enrolled to study International Relations at the University of Witwatersrand.

Career

The talented actress played the role of Zanele in Jacob’s Cross, an M-Net drama series.
She kicked off as a professional television career in 1998 after landing a job as a presenter on Reality Check. In 2002 came her debut acting role on television.
She was cast as a guest star in Generations, an SABC1 soap opera.
In 2003, Mampho landed a job as a presenter for AfriSat. She became an on-site live presenter on Imali Mania, a game show on SABC1, in 2004.
She did a commercial for Telkom and filmed nine weeks of inserts for Nokia Challenge, an M-Net advertorial series.
In 2005, landed a freelance presenting join for DStv’s The Home Channel. At the same time, she appeared in corporate videos for the Department of Tourism and Standard Bank.
In 2006 and 2008, she appeared in Isindigo, an SABC3 soap opera, as Batsi. Mampho also was cast in Traum Hotel, a German feature film.
