Lusanda Mbane (born 16 May 1979 in Butterworth) is a South African actress entrepreneur and radio personality. She is also a speaker and brand ambassador.

She is popular for playing the role of Naomi Malotana on Generations, an SABC 1 soapie. Lusanda also gained much TV audience for starring as Boniswa on soap opera Scandal!.

She studied at Clarendon Girls’ High School in East London. She later attended Technikon Witwatersrand (1998-2000) where she studied Marketing and completed the course with UNISA. 

She is also a B.Com Marketing holder from UNISA. She established her recruitment company after working for a leading recruitment agency. 

Lusanda is currently the Managing Director of her recruitment company, Ellenina Professional Recruitment Services.

She and her husband, Luzuko, have been married for 14 years now. She took it to Instagram and shared a throwback slideshow of her family starting on the day she said โ€œI doโ€ to the present day.


She is a devoted mother to Lihlome, 11 years old and Liqhawe 12 years old. 


She has portrayed many lead roles in advertising campaigns for clients. 

Lusanda has campaigned for many clients including Knorrox, Kellogg’s (Chocos), Brand Power (Ponds), Rama, Milo, Dettol, and McCain.

Since 2013, she is the face and voice of the South African Airways in-flight safety video. 

Lusanda also portrayed the role of MaKhumalo in Vodacom’s “Brand Ambassador” family, The Khumalos. 

Her TV acting career kicked-off in 2009 with a cameo role as Advocate Macheke on Muvhango, an SABC2 soapie.

A breakout role followed upon landing the role of Naomi on Generations from 2010-2011.

Lusanda landed a guest role in the 11th Season premiere of Soul City, an SABC1 drama. The series aired on the 18th of October, 2011.

That same year, she starred as Zodwa in the SABC1 sitcom Abo Mzala which premiered on 5 December 2011.

She later landed the role of Aliah on Tempy Pushas an SABC1 drama series.

The series premiered on 15 February 2013. Lusanda also had a cameo as a doctor on season 3 of soapie Isibaya, an Mzansi Magic.

Later in 2016, she landed another starring role in the Season two (2) episode of the Dreamworld, a romantic comedy series, as Penney.

Still, in that year, she portrayed as Nobuhle Pasha on Sokhulu & Partners, SABC1 legal drama series – Season three (3).

Also in 2016, she had a guest-starring role as Nobuhle Pasha on the third season of the SABC1 legal drama series Sokhulu & Partners.

She later joined Scandal!, an soapie, and landed a recurring role of Boniswa and appeared first on 26 August 2016.

Lusanda had a guest-starring role as Sis Puleng in an episode of the drama series Z’bondiwe. She appeared in the 20the Episode of the 2nd Season.

She has also landed a recurring role of Thembi Mdlalose on the Mzansi Magic soapie Isibaya.
