Early Life

Kogbagidi was born Olasunkanmi Quadri Taoreed in Lagos, Nigeria and he is in his mid-thirties. He hails from a royal family known as the “Kinyun Royal Family”. 

He was raised in Surulere, a residential and commercial Local Government Area in Lagos State, Nigeria. 

He has three older siblings and his mother is from Epetedo in Lagos Island. Kogbagidi’s father hails from Ijede /Agbowa/Okepopo.


He started his academic journey at K.Kotun memorial school, Bode-Thomas, Surulere. Later, he had his secondary school education at Federal Government College. He also attended Star-Light College Orile Igammu.

Kogbagidi studied International relations Personnel Management (IRPM) at Lagos State University LASU, Ojo. He served his fatherland through the one-year youth service scheme NYSC in Ebonyi state, where he was posted.


He has spent over a decade in the entertainment industry. Kogbagidi kicked off his career as ticket personnel of “A Night of a Thousand Laughs”. The show was organized by Bright Okpocha better known by his stage name Basketmouth at fantasy Land.

He started to gain exposure and skills while he was at Lagos State University. He founded the group titled Team KGB, meaning Team Kogbagidi in full.

It later became Kogbagidi Entertainment and the company was registered around 2011. He is a well-known show promoter but still engages in other things.

His name “Kogbagidi” is a Yoruba word for “Life is not hard”. He is a married man. Though he has shared the name of his wife, he has shown a picture of her on Instagram.
