Kate Liquorish (born 13 March 1984) is a British-born South African actress, food stylist, and writer. She is well-known for appearing in many television serials. 

Her role as iconic political activist Ruth First in Madiba rose her to prominence. The actress has also appeared in many other television serials. She is no newbie in the entertainment industry.

Many television viewers knew her for her roles as an actress. She loves food styling and photography which has earned her decent followership on social media.

She was born on 13 March 1984. After her primary and high school education, she enrolled at the University of Cape Town (UCT).

She graduated with a BA in Theatre and Performance. After her academic pursuit, she has appeared in many theatre productions, films, and TV serials.


She has appeared in many television serials including The Bantu Hour, Hillside, Those Who Can’t, and Sober Companion. 

She also appeared in the Mzansi Magic sitcom The Mayor and the kykNET sitcom Deeltitel Dames. She was also cast in the e.tv drama series Z’bondiwe.

In the film Madiba, she appeared as the iconic political activist Ruth First. She also appeared alongside Helen Mirren in Gavin Hood’s Eye in the Sky.

The actress was featured with Pearl Thusi and Akin Omotoso in Kagiso Lediga’s Catching Feelings.
