Jessica began her academic career at Empangeni. She later completed at Catholic boarding school.
She got into the University of KwaZulu Natal where she started studying Law. She eventually switched to Bachelor of Arts in Drama and Performing Arts.
She auditioned for the role of Qondi, a shy but self-assured rural beauty, on Isibaya.
This marked her first appearance in her acting career and she has been on the screen since 2013.

When she was in grade 11, Jessica lost her dad to a rare cancer Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
The name of her boyfriend was Khaya Mthethwa. Well, the lovebirds didn’t have a happy ending.
They broke up following the allegations that he was cheating on her with Kelly Khumalo.
Kelly and Khaya never denied the allegations neither did they admit it. The beautiful young lady is single and does not have a husband yet.
