Elaine singer (born Ndivhuwo Elaine Mukheli; 2nd April 1999 in Pretoria, Gauteng) is a South African R&B singer and songwriter.
She released her debut EP Elements in 2019 and it reached the top on both the national iTunes and Apple Music album chart.
The achievement makes her boasts as the first female artist, who is independent, to hold the record.
Her love for music dates back to her days as a young child, Elaine actively took part in the school choir and several talent competitions as she grew up.
Elaine started singing when she six years old. In 2014, she took home a gold medal at the 8th World Choir Games in Riga Latvia.

In 2018, Elaine started to study Law at the University of the Witwatersrand.
The newt year, she stated that she made it into the institution’s Golden Key Honor Society and she started to write her music during her high school days.
In 2019, she made the upload of her first single entitled Slip Away to Sound Cloud. She then made an official released two months later in the same year.
The same year, after four months, Elaine dropped her follow-up single in August 2019 entitled I Just Wanna Kow.
It is worthy of knowing that she is the first artist from South Africa to become a part of the Radar artist program on Spotify.
The next month, the same year, she dropped her first EP, Element. It housed seven (7) tracks and was by Clxrity alongside Elizee.
The EP made it to streaming charts and hit one million accumulative streams in the space of two weeks of its initial release.
In 2020 all the songs from her Element EP made it to the top ten (10) of the national Apple Music R&B/Soul songs chart.
Her single from the “EP titled You’re The One” also made it to the top of both iTunes and Apple Music single charts. The single became a hit and made waves, it earned her radio debut.
Elaine dropped her debut EP Elements, she released it all by her self, in September 2019. The EP made heat both in the local and international music scene.
It made it to number one on the album chart of both the national iTunes and Apple music.
She is the first independent female artist to record this achievement. A year after its release, Element was certified Platinum by Recording Industry of South Africa (RISA).
It also received a nomination as the Best R&B/Soul Album at the 26th South African Music Awards (SAMA).
She became the most streamed South African female Artist on Spotify in March 2020.
