DJ PH biography
DJ Ph (born Phind’Gcobe Madubela; 1983 in Eastern Cape) is an award-winning South African DJ, music producer, and radio presenter.
He is a co-presents every Saturday on the Metro FM’s Cruise Control (1:00 pm–3:00 pm).
The high school nerd and sportsman turned 5FM radio DJ Phind’Gcobe Madubela is popularly addressed by his stage name pH.

The Deejays date of birth is in December 1983 and the place of birth is in Eastern Cape, South Africa. DJ Ph is thirty-six (36) years old.
DJ Ph was born into a family of four (4) children and is the youngest. He was born and bred in Eastern Cape.
In an interview, he shared that his eldest brother is ten years older than he is, his sister five years older. His immediate elder brother is three years older.
As a student, he attended a boys-only school high school where he was class captain. He holds a degree in marketing from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
During his school days, he was involved in sports activities including tennis, rugby, and swimming. He was also into break dancing.
He fell in love with becoming a Deejay after watching DJ Fresh, a South African Deejay, play at a local club at the Grahamstown Arts Festival.
Upon graduating from the university, Madubela worked at an agency called Anything Goes in Cape Town.
He added to his job as the resident DJ in clubs and lounges around the city.
With the determination to make it in the big city, he interned at 5FM, a South African FM radio station. Madubela even participated twice in the Deejay search competition and took the second position twice.

He took home the 2019 Best DJ of the Year at the South African Hip-Hop Awards.
He dropped his first album on the 15th of August 2011 and contained eleven (11) tracks. The album is titled Welcome To My Bus.
In 2019, the Deejay dropped another album, Beats For Fam(e) and another, DJ Ph 2020 in February 2020.
DJ ph and Shimza holds the record for non-stop Deejay for 72 hours (3 days).
Fans and supporters did not believe at first that the two were planning to break the record with the longest set played in the world. But DJ Ph and Shimza made Mzansi proud.
After the two (2) sent an invitation to people to come through and join them as they performed.
Shimza and PH thanked fans on Social media for their support which they needed. According to them, the support kept them going.
