David Ndii (born in Kiambu) is a Kenyan Economist, columnist, and author. He is the current Managing Director of Africa Economics and NASA strategist.
He was appointed to the position by the Opposition coalition to lead the proposed Peoples Assembly.
David is an important and famous columnist on a daily paper on government issues and economic development.

His place of birth is in Kiambu, a town in Kiambu County, Kenya within the Nairobi Metropolitan Region.
He had his tertiary education at the University of Nairobi. David obtained his Master’s and bachelor’s degrees in Economics from the higher institution.
He also holds a doctorate, master’s degree, and Ph.D. in Economics from Oxford University.

David is married to Mwende Gatabaki, the daughter of Peter Gatabaki, the senior chief of Thakwa who is also a former member of the Githunguri MP.
She studied at Kenyatta University and pursued a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (1987-1990).
He is a co-founder of the Institute of Economic Affairs, Kenya. It is worthy to note that David advised the NARC administration on the Economic Recovery Strategy (ERS).
He served as an economic advisor to the Government of Rwanda. David also served as a public finance expert to the Kenya constitutional review Committee of Experts (COE).
As an economist, he also worked with the World Bank and he is on the list of the ‘top world economists’.
He recent years David has been an open critic of the economic policy of the Kenyan Government.

He was barred access to the Technical University of Mombasa for “security reason”
