Clint Brink (born 29 September 1980 in Paarl) is a multiple-time award-winning actor. He has appeared on screen playing different roles which have contributed to taking him to the position he is today. 

Among the roles, he is best known for being in the films King Dog, Ellen: Die Storie van Ellen Pakkies and Lockdown Heights. He was cast as Dr. Steve Abrahams in the Afrikaans-language TV soap opera Binnelanders.

Fans and viewers of the South African television soap opera Scandal! would agree that he is among the fan-favorite actors on the show. Clint appeared on the soapie broadcast on as Tino Martins.

He was born Clint Brink on 29 September 1980 in Paarl, a town in Western Cape, South Africa. Even as a young child, he knew that he wanted to entertain and appear on stage.

His parents tried their best efforts to provide him and his siblings with their basic needs. 


Brink enrolled at New Orleans High School, South Africa. He furthered his academic pursuit at the CityVarsity School of Media and Creative Arts. In 1999, he completed his programs and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Filming and Video.

Love life

A year after his graduation, he fell in love with a television actress – Marubini Mogale.

They were together for two years until a tragic occurrence ended what they shared. In 2002, he lost her to a car crash that left him and his partner’s sister Lerato with injuries.

The accident happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle which left it overturned.

It landed on its hood on the opposite lane. Brink and Lerato came out alive with minor injuries, but Marubini died at the spot.

In 2016, Clint Brink married a Namibian model Steffi Van Wyk. His wife has taken home the crown of a beauty pageant.


As a teenager, he graduated in 1991 and appeared among other hopefuls for an audition for the film Gangsters and dancers. Sadly, even before the film was produced, it was canceled.

Later, he was cast as Shaun Jacobs in the South African youth-targeted soap opera Backstage.

He appeared on the soap opera Generations as Bradley Paulse. As an actor, he appeared in many local films including Dollars and White PipesSwop! and Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.

He landed a starring role in the South African television soap Scandal! as Valentino “Tino” Martens.
