Cindy Swanepoel (born 15 December 1981 in Krugersdorp) is a renowned South African actress. She has gained popularity on television in the country for appearing in several roles. Many television viewers know her for appearing in the show Binnelanders.
She appeared on the kykNET soap opera in 2015 and cast on the show as Annelize Roux. Cindy was cast in another popular kykNET series, Getroud Met Rugby. She joined the drama series in 2015 playing the role of Boeps troublemaker sister, Buula Botha on season four.

Her birthday celebration comes up every year on December 15th. Though Krugersdorp is where she was born, she grew up in Pretoria, Gauteng.
Cindy had her high school education in Cape Town and Durbanville High School was where she had her matriculation. After which she enrolled at the University of Stellenbosch and studied for a BA Drama (Hons).
She kicked off her professional career in acting after making her first appearance in Circles in a Forest, a theatre production. Marinda Engelbrecht directed the production for Artscape.
In 2004, the production had another performance at the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival. In the same year, she then landed an acting role in the KKNK festival.
In 2008, she appeared in a theatrical production, Houtkruis. The production was directed by Elzette Maarschalk. In 2011, she performed in another production, Stephen van Niekerk.
Eventually, she joined The Crucible, a production directed by Alby Michaels. She has also appeared in several other series on television like The Mating Game, Skeletons in the Closet, and 90 Plein Street.
Cindy has also played notable acting roles in several soap operas in the country including 7th Avenue, Generations, and Villa Rosa.
She has also landed roles in comedy series including Pros Street and Laugh out Loud. After which, she landed a role on Sterlopers, a kykNET series.
She landed a role in the film Getroud Met Rugby and was cast as Chrystal. Cindy also landed starring roles in other films including Nation’s Garage, Ballad for a Single, and The Street’s Bull.
In a collaboration with two partners, she founded ‘Pôkô Events and Productions‘. The company is a film production company that has its primary focus on productions on children’s theater.
In 2013, she landed another starring role in Curl Up and Dye. The popular interdisciplinary artist Sue Pam-Grant directed it. After two years, in 2015, Cindy was cast as Annelize Roux on Binnelanders, a popular soapie.
