The hit the road of music after earning the first and second position in a South African reality in 2005. The show aired on SABC2, a national TV channel in South Africa.
The viewers chose their votes. That time, the couples were solo artists but upon completing the show, they teamed up to form a duo.
The duo begot the name Bongi and Collin. In 2010, the duo released its first album, “Makadunyiswe”.
The album received an award for Best Urban Gospel Album, South African Music Award.
In 2013, the duo dropped their second album, Live Again. The album received five (5) nominations at the Crown Gospel Music Awards.
They took home an award for Best Gospel RnB Album. Together, the couple has performed in all major South African cities.
The duo has also performed in other countries like The Caribbean, The US and others.
Bongi and Collin were chosen as part of South African artists to perform at the Midem conference at Cannes in France.
