Ayanda MVP (born Phindile Ayanda Mdluli; 09 February 1991) is a South African radio and television personality. She has gained popularity as a show host on YFM and 947 Fm and hails from Nongoma, KwaZulu-Natal.

She moved to Johannesburg after her father was transferred from KZN to JHB for work. This created enough exposure to new things and better education.

Career

She got a presenting job on Vibe’z, an SABC3 teen reality show when she was 16 years old. 

On the show, Ayanda and her crew selected young aspiring musicians, actors, artists, sports stars, and models. 

After which they connect them with the right people to assist make their dream come true. 

Ayanda hosted the breakfast drive on the varsity radio station, Tuks FM.

The YFM approached her in 2013 to fill up a vacant position and she joined the station. Her stage name Ayanda MVP was born during this time.

The station asked her to fill in daytime slots and with time she got her daytime show on weekends (12-3 pm).

After working with YFM for four years, she quit her job to join 947 FM in April 2017. 

After three months at the station, she took over the Stacey Normans slot on weekdays (10 am – 1 pm) in July that year. By January 2018, the slot was extended by 2 hours making it to 3 pm.

She was a guest commentator on the show 10 Over 10, a Vuzu Amp countdown, in 2016. Ayanda was a voice over for the sixth MTV Africa Music Awards.

She also was the celebrity prankster in an episode of the show Eish! Saan, an SABC3 hidden camera prank show. Ayanda was featured in Season 1, Episode 6.

Ayanda later landed a show host job at the SABC1 reality competition series 1’s and 2’s to replaced Thando Thabethe in 2018.
