Amo Chidi is a South Africa born singer, dancer, and actress. She is famous for playing the role of Reneilwe in the e.tv soap opera Rhythm City. She made her debut appearance in 2012.

She appeared first on TV at the age of ten (10) when she was on the list of top 10 finalists on SABC2’s singing competition Light House.

Chidi also appeared on the list of Top 40 finalist on the M-Net reality competition High School Musical: Spotlight South Africa, in 2008.

Her talents and passion for performing arts led to achieving a lot. She landed the role in a pan-African show which consists of 12 women from all over the continent titled Daughters of Africa.

She was then selected to represent her country (South Africa) in a show which toured the Netherlands for six months. 

Amo is also popular for her famous role in the musical show, The African Mamas. She joined the cast for a woman’s monthly show at the Durban Playhouse Theatre in 2010.

Later, she continued to cooperate with the mama’s in a successful show the African Mama’s Sing Mama Africa.

Amo has made numerous appearances on TV adverts and also was a presenter of Design and Automobile on DStv’s Africa Magic channel.
